An important message to all Still Time fans, friends, and supporters:

For the past 8 years, from our beginnings as an acoustic duo playing for a few friends in the hills behind the Cal Poly dorms to sharing the stage with many of our favorite musicians and playing to sold out crowds singing every word, we’ve been blessed to have been able to share our music with so many of you. The experience that we’ve had playing music together, traveling the country, and meeting so many incredible people along the way is something that will always be a huge part of us. Unfortunately, we will be playing our final shows together over the next year due to a mutual feeling that it’s time to move on and preserve what is unique and beautiful about the band and this awesome thing we’ve created with you.

We are definitely open to a reunion down the road and we want to make it clear that we all love each other like brothers — there is in no way any sort of rift between any of us or any sort of issues artistically. The truth is as a 6 person band you have to make an absurd amount of money to make it work. The magnitude of where you have to be to make it work financially is a huge grind on the creativity and soulfulness that we pride ourselves on. We were never about being famous — we just wanted to make some inspired music together and hope to inspire a few people while having some of the best times of our lives. To have influenced so many amazingly cool people (Still Time fans are the kindest, coolest people on the planet as far as we’re concerned) in a uniquely positive way has been a surreal experience.

For the next half year or so, we will be playing a small handful of shows throughout CA leading up to final shows in both SLO and SF next spring 2012. We wanted to let everyone know this now so we can rally your support in getting this word out to make these final shows as amazing as they can be. The absolute most incredible aspect of what we’ve done with our music has been creating with you these positive and soulful nights of music, friends, and family.

Lastly, as far as continuing on, Dan and Pablo will be focusing on their singer-songwriter/solo musician careers and your continued support for them would be greatly appreciated. Making a living in the music industry is a challenge, but they feel confident that a life in music is their calling and they need your help now more than ever. We’ll have more on this for you soon, Dan is working on his first solo record at the yurt in Cayucos — you can stay up to date here on his artist page: www.listn.to/dancurcio Pablo is currently establishing his solo career in the Bay Area. He is gigging, teaching lessons, and plans on releasing his first solo record sometime in 2012. You can stay up to date here on his music blog: http://paulsmithstewart.blogspot.com/

PLEASE CONTINUE to pass on our music and let people know about our final run of shows—we will be posting the final show dates soon and will let you know as we line it up. We feel as good as ever about where we’re at musically as a band and it’s really important for us to end in a positive way. Thank you for sharing this experience with us — all that you have given us through your love and support of Still Time will never be forgotten and we will always have a huge place in our hearts for you—we love ya!
